was born too soon, an Rh Negative baby. Two blood transfusions and other problems convinced the doctors that there was no hope. Death was certain. But so was Mama.

My childhood was hard, but I was well loved. Through it all I had books, and stories sustained me. By the seventh grade I was studying Eastern philosophies and listening to Zoot Sims and Gustav Holst with my dad. Music and spirituality have always been my greatest influences.
